LHP is a non-denominational, charitable foundation in Thailand.
Our funding is provided mostly by private donations , trough
an active fund rising effort in the community and some grants
from organizations that are committed to the welfare and development
of women and children.
We are developing a self sustained program trough the sales
of the women art works.
Our accountancy is open and public. We are non-profit making
and any surpluses we make are reinvested in the work of the
project.
Life Home Project (LHP) was set up in 2001 by Jose Luis Gay,
a Spanish volunteer with previous experience with underprivileged
children in Phuket. He was shortly joined by two other volunteers,
Helene Fallon-Wood, has the lead responsibility for community
relations and fund rising and Kathy Mantei, a well known artist
in Asia and the USA, who is the inspiration and guidance of
the Art workshop and helps the mothers develop new projects.
