Do The Hands Panel
Preparation of the canvas
1- Take a piece of white/natural cotton canvas of 1,20 by 2,20
mts.
2- Paint one of the sides with white normal acrylic interior house
paint .
We do that to protect the panel from dust and dirty once is finished.
3- Draw a rectangle of 1 meter by 2 meters with a pencil.
This is the printing area . The hands prints must be inside the
rectangle .
The outside of the rectangle is used to fix the "hands "
panel on a 1by 2 meters
plywood panel , folding it and staple it when you want to hang it
on the wall.
Preparation of the Colors
:
We use acrylic painting colors. They are water based and don't
harm the skin.
The basic colors are the best : Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Orange
etc, but you can add the ones you like more !
4- Mix the paint with water in a plastic bottle, to make it more
liquid.
Test it in a peace of cloth until you get the desired consistency
5- Put the paint on a plastic plat, big enough to put your hand
on it .
Doing the HANDS panel
Now you can extend the dry canvas on a table, the floor or any
other flat surface.
6- Put the plates with the different colors on the left side of
the panel.
7- Put the hand on the plate, and allow all your palm and fingers
get impregnate with the paint you choose.
8 - Lift your hand and put another plate under it. Carefully move
hand and plate until the place you want to print your hand.
We do that to avoid drops of paint fall on the canvas when you move
your hand.
9- Stamp smoothly the hand on the canvas.
Remember not to move your fingers , and press with other hand to
get all the surface printed.
10- lift your hand slowly, clean yourself with tissue, toilet paper
or a towel .
Write your name or nickname under your hand print. Do it immediately,
because if not you will forget which one is your print !
11-Wash your hands to take out the rest of the paint .
12- Let the panel dry for a minimum of an hour before you roll it.
Your panel
is ready !!!

- 1 kilo of white interior house water based paint.
- 5 tubes of acrylic paint of different colors.
( Childrens or house paint is also good ! )
- 5 empty plastic water bottles
- 5 plastic plates
- 1 thick marker.
- 1 pencil
- 1 rule
- I meter
- Tissue or a towel.
- Water
